The Skar Audio SDR-12 D2 subwoofer was designed to redefine the term "daily" subwoofer, both in terms of power output and acoustic responsiveness across the entire low end frequency range. The engineering considerations that went into developing this 12-inch subwoofer are extensive, and contribute to why the SDR series has continued to be one of the most popular subwoofer lines we have ever released.

Rated conservatively at 1,200 watts max power, this 12-inch subwoofer was built to get loud and low. Featuring a 2.5", 4-layer, high temperature, dual 2-ohm copper voice coil, you will be able to operate it at peak performance for hours on end with the peace of mind knowing it can handle the brutality. Combine that with the top-tier, high flux ferrite motor of this driver, and it is by no surprise that the subwoofer can reproduce low end bass frequencies with authority.

Furthermore, we devised integrating a unique red nomex spider suspension system into the design that utilizes the perfect blend of stiffness and flexibility. The aforementioned components of the subwoofer as well as it's advanced air flow cooling design, are what ultimately allows for the incredible responsiveness and power handling of the speaker. Last but not least the subwoofer features a high roll foam surround and competition grade strength paper cone.
